Isaiah Thomas has been UNDER APPRECIATED for all of his NBA career.
It all started when Isaiah Thomas took the biggest risk in his life!
He was at a crossroads in his life. Choosing between finishing his last year at Washington or taking a leap of faith and going into the 2011 NBA Draft.
Isaiah Thomas did what any other college player who was averaging 16 points per game for 3 seasons.
As the 2011 NBA Draft was going through, Isaiah Thomas’s future NBA career was looking non-existent.
At the grace of basketball gods (thank them) Isaiah Thomas was given a chance to play in the NBA.
Isaiah Thomas was drafted 60th in the 2011 NBA Draft. For anyone who don’t know, he was the very last pick.
Most NBA teams probably passed him up because of his little frame. One thing that trumps talent and that’s hard work.
Thomas lived up to his rookie expectation (there wasn’t any) and averaged 11 points and 5 assists. Better than most of the 2017 NBA Draft class.
After averaging 20 points per game for the Kings in his 3rd year, Thomas was traded to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for a sign and trade and rights to Alex Oriakhi… Man that was a bad deal for Sacramento.
Isaiah Thomas suffered a few minor injuries but showed the Phoenix organization that he has a lot of passion for the game of basketball and he wanted to WIN…! Well he ended up getting traded to Boston Celtics for Marcus Thornton and a 2016 NBA Draft pick.
That trade wasn’t the worse thing in the world but damn I know Phoenix is kicking their own ass right now.
Boston Celtics received this 5’9 diamond and used him properly for the very first time in his career. His debut game with Boston Celtics he scored 21 points off the bench. Isaiah Thomas has been ready for the big leagues for some time and now he got his chance.
Fast forward to present day, Isaiah gets mistreated for the very last time in his NBA career and is traded for Kyrie Irving… my favorite NBA player.
Isaiah Thomas has been out due to an hip injury and we all thought Boston Celtics won the trade because Isaiah Thomas was “damaged goods.”
Well the time is here and Isaiah is ready to show that he deserves a max contract after 7 years in his NBA career!
In his Cleveland Cavalier debut, Isaiah SHOWED THE WORLD he is back without skipping a beat! Dropping 17 points in 19 minutes.
Are we seeing a powerhouse cavs in the making???
