Two Republican Senators declared their opposition to the Obamacare repeal, essentially ending it before it could start. As President Donald Trump has his campaign and party promises fail again and again the further into his Presidency we get, one might think it would make Hillary Clinton look that much better, but that couldn’t be further from the truth.

John McCormick of writes,

“Trump’s 2016 Democratic rival is viewed favorably by just 39 percent of Americans in the latest Bloomberg National Poll, two points lower than the president. It’s the second-lowest score for Clinton since the poll started tracking her in September 2009.”

This is a loud message from the American people; a message from all corners of the political spectrum. The American people are screaming enough.

Something must give under this government made of far-sided public agendas that only seeks to divide the American people even further. The party politicians are seemingly painting a picture that they think we want to see; and the big media outlets are following suit. Republicans enter here, Democrats enter here.

They each want to corner their respective demographics and push them even further into their side, figuratively (and almost literally) dividing the nation into black and white.
But if the recent national polls are a sign of anything, it’s that the American public is sick and tired of being spoken for and being misrepresented. The country isn’t black and white; it is colored in a few shades of grey. The public is somewhere in the middle. America is either center right or center left; and the numbers prove it.

According to the latest Gallup Polls, a poll measuring the political spectrum of Americans since 1991, about 4 out of every 10 American identifies themselves as independent; separate from any party. (Jones)

Of the 54% of American’s that identify either Republican or Democrat, most of the members in either parties consider themselves moderates, leaving the political ideologues to be the extreme minorities.

And yet somehow, we have found ourselves in this black and white system. The American public is being manipulated into thinking that we are in an “us vs them” culture war, when in reality we have been literally fighting against ourselves.

The numbers are evident, now the people must make up their minds together. The only way we are really going to make America great, whether you believe it was once before or never was, is to come together, and form a true Centrist Party.

It is okay to disagree in this nation; it is not okay to divide this nation.
